Who here would actually punch a baby?

This witty statement from the anger meter begs the question. On the one hand, since a baby can´t remember what happens to him, he won´t hold a grudge against the one that hits him. On the other it´s a very easy thing to do and he can´t respond. Why would somebody get angry enough to hit a baby in the first place? I´m on the fence with this issue. I was wondering if you all might share your opinions on this.

if you'd spent some time around a psychotic, paranoid, borderline schizophrenic OCPD father, you still WOULDN'T understand why someone would get angry enough to hit a baby, but at least witnessing it you wouldn't be able to deny that it DOES happen (AND that these kinds of people are the people who need to be sodomised in prison, NOT 17 year old kids who hit up a liquor store for a pack of marb reds).

basically, you'd have to be insane to hit a baby. and this could actually be a good insanity test for new parents - except of course by that time they've already successfully reproduced, and we've failed to nip that problem in the bud.

that whole line that babies don't remember the shit that has happened to them as small children/infants is complete and utter bullshit. in fact, whoever told that to you and WASN'T trying to hold back his laughter as he uttered the words is a complete moron. if you wanted to go back and punch THAT person, that would be acceptable. hasn't anyone ever heard of trauma?

i guess by that logic it should be ok to stick your penis into an 8 month old baby. WHAT?? THEY WON'T REMEMBER IT!!!

I'd only punch a baby if I was really REALLY pissed off and the baby was annoying me super bad. Also, I'd be sure that I didn't kill or permanently harm the baby.

Trouble is though when you discipline a child he learns from the experience. A baby wouldn´t learn a thing. If you ever punched a baby, left it for a time and then came back he or she´d forget all about it.

Ya, I saw that on the anger meter and since 101% angry wasnt on it, I chose 100% angry and the description was hit a baby....WTF. How about a description that doesnt involve hurting defencless, innocent things......
