Thumbs down People And Their Opinions

Back in May I decided to start eating better and working out regularly. My family health history isn't wonderful, and I figured if I am going to prevent anything it is best to start now. My boyfriend is also doing the same, as he has been over weight his whole life. I have even put myself on a drinking hiatus (Sorry Billy! I'm there with you in spirit!!) for 90 days. I am on day 58 (I think), and feel *really* good about that. A couple weeks ago, I started getting interested in toning and muscle definition, and am working my way towards that. If I keep going the way that I am, I should have at least a 4 pack by the end of August as well as back and leg definition. I have been working hard at changing my life and my body.

What is pissing me off is other people's comments. I have consistently been getting the "You're too skinny" and the "Why are you working out you're not fat" comments. Really?? Would you walk up to a fat person and say "You're too fat?" WHAT THE FUCK?? I think that it is compeletly rude and I didn't ask for you fucking opinion!!!!! I am about at the end of my rope with people talking shit.

LAZY ASS MOTHERFUCKERS!!

Muscle definition takes longer than that if done via hard work and not by taking short cuts.....
(Short cut= sticking needles in your arse....)

I don't want to be big. Just toned. And yes, it can be that short.

Being overweight is unhealthy, being too skinny is unhealthy. While I agree it can be rude to criticise people for being fat, there are girls out there who look like matchsticks and still proclaim to be the "fattest" out of all their friends. It's how eating disorders develop.

In saying that, working out for health benefits is far different to working out for the sole purpose of weight loss, so as long as you're focused on a goal of a healthier lifestyle rather than a dress size, I wish you all the best.

Thank you! Finally someone who freakin' gets it. I get the being too skinny is unhealthy thing, my goal is not to just be skinny. My ultimate goal is by next summer, I'll be 110-115 pounds of lean sexy muskles!

Well..gotta make sacrifices sometimes for the things we want. I've gotta tell you though, I don't miss it. I've been to parties since and have watched everyone else get trashed..and its hilarious! Plus I don't have to wait to sober up to leave.

I've been doing weight watchers and whenever i see one of my friends, she makes a big deal out of how good i look and all that. It just feels really insincere, especially since she used to say similar stuff to me all the time when i was bigger. She's changed it from 'you look pretty' to 'you look skinny'.

In case anyone cares, I am not doing it for looks, I'm doing it because I've been overweight for 7ish years and have a family history of obesity, high cholesterol, heart disease and bad knees. Easier to do it now when I'm 23 rather than wait until I need a knee replacement.
