Question Is it time for the streets to turn steel?

I think so. Stone and concrete can be smashed, blown up, or worn out by rubber. Steel is much more durable. It could withstand the test of time and the elements much better. I say its time to get rid of the current pavements and set up steel streets. WeŽll be destroying one form to make way for another. (excuse the use of metal in the poll question. Went to fast when I typed it)

Come on guys, this thread could be a great one. Metal is the wave of the future for the streets. No more brick a brack. We can live the technotopia we see in so many sci fi films!

    Whatever you say, Pau

But in my opinion, concrete works just fine. I'm sure it would be pretty depressive to live in a city where everything is made of steel

    Why would it be depressive?

Well, for one thing, for do suggest we remove it? You can't really just drill a hole in 1 meter thick steel, can you?

Also, have you heard about a little thing called rust?

And say a power line falls down, and touches the street for just a second? Someone would probably die
