Kangaroos are rarely seen in the city though they are rather common in the bush....
Bundoora is on the outskirts of Melbourne.....

The big kangaroo was hit by a car and severely injured before struggling on to tram tracks in Plenty Rd, Bundoora.

Police phoned for an animal ranger to assess the kangaroo and its badly broken leg, but there was no one available.

The sergeant raised his .38 revolver and did what he had to do. A police spokesman said the kangaroo was unpredictable and might have injured somebody or limped back on to the major road and caused a collision.

"An experienced sergeant humanely disposed of the roo with two shots," the spokesman said.

I used to go to LaTrobe in Bundoora. You'd see kangaroos in the car park nearly every day.

hah your dad sounds like a funny fucker. when i worked in the mines i ended up calling my bumper bar the roo smasher lol fuckers always ran out in front of me at night must have killed about ten in the time i worked there but i never beat one to death with a thermos! i had the reverse and drive forward reverse again and drive forward method!
