Yeah that really made no sense. It was Unity, the right faction, that installed Gillard as leader. Bill Shorten was the main instigator.

Yeah exactly. It's not even a point of contention, so I really don't have a clue what True Blue is so worked up about.

If the factions control the unions and the dominant right faction controls the ALP, and Gillard is from the socialist left faction whose ideology is for economic interventionist policies to best advantage the socialist left faction unions. And the the controlling right wing faction threw their numbers behind Gillard as they did. How long before the puppet changes sides and abandons her socialist left support base to appease the puppet master right faction and the unions they control incl. the AWU? Its already happeneing according to her ex-boss at Gordon Slater.

Gillard will act as a puppet for anyone who can offer power. It will be interesting to see how long before the left disown her and she too ends up factionless like her former boss KRudd.

Paint me Orange and call me an Orangutang.. I hardly follow political stuff and all but.... when you mention all those big words in one paragraph I cannot help but think I am swinging from K-Rudd at a Titty bar?

Don't be fooled. All leaders are where they are because of the 'powers that be' that put them there. We, the general public are just the pawn in the political game, I just find it sad that the first female PM in Oz was elected in such a fashion. Shame on the ALP, you just played into the hands of the oppostion.

Then again, if it were upto me I would elect the VYA crew for leadership.. If they don't like you they cut you off at the neck (or ban you). Ha, at least the voting public would know what they were up against

Pinocchio Gillard, the puppet of a fragile alliance between the left and right, the stop gap leader until the next election, when the right faction will replace her with one of their own. Maybe even the ultimate manipulator, himself, Billy 'pokerface' Shorten.
Her latest blunder to announce a Pacific solution to the media, without even talking to East Timor's Gusmao.

The clock is ticking. If you listen carefully you will hear the panic in the labor factions, as they scramble for an early election. Gillard is a ticking bomb!

Clearly Gillard does not have the statesman qualities to be PM, and clearly she is a stop-gap PM till after the next election. Better ALP statesman than Gillard are in order: Faulkner, McClelland, Macklin, Burke, Tanner, Crean, Conroy, Carr, Bowen.

    Ahhhh....The obvious next question....
If Gillard was a man then would TrueBlue approve??..

FWIW...So far so good IMO...She is doing a fine job....And with the alternative(Abbott) being a twit with no policy who spends all his time bashing the Gov I can't see how Labor could lose the next election....
