AP asked why don't I worship the ground Collingwood walk on? He said I was not old enough to know why Collingwood are hated. It begs the question how old do you have to be?

Brendan Keilar, a melbourne solicitor, a young father at the local State school, and a well respected member of the local community was gunned down in cold blood at 8am in the morning by a drinking buddy of Alan Didak. But more than a drinking buddy, Hudson was a Hell's Angel, woman-bashing, gun-toting thug who Didak accepted a lift home from two weeks earlier in 2007.

On that trip home Didak and his mate, the woman bashing Hudson, in a drunken spree let off live rounds of ammunition on their way accross the Bolte Bridge in suburban Melbourne, endangering the life of local residents.

Ed McGuire, the spin-doctor, claims that Didak was offered a lift home by a stranger. That Collingwood players are famous faces in Melbourne and it is not uncommon for people to offer them services.

Not only was Didak not sacked for 'the reckless endangerment' of civilians, but six months later was involved in an other drink driving incident with player Heath Shaw. In order to protect his gun-toting mate, and fellow drunk, Shaw took responsibility for crashing into two parked cars and recklessly endangering innocent bystanders and pedestrians as they drove drunk.

Neither player was suitably disciplined or dismissed by the club. In fact Ed 'spin' Mcguire in a blatant disregard for the seriousness of the offence, said of a police officers report that Shaw was 'wobbling on his feet and unable to stand" made light of the comment and said"he had just had knee surgery in recent times and of course would feel unsure of his footing'

Then there's Wellingham's drunken driving episode. And again no disciplinary measure suitable imposed by the club.

ALISON CALDWELL: Collingwood president and media personality Eddie McGuire scoffed at the suggestion that Didak was in the car with Shaw.

EDDIE MCGUIRE: No, no, no. I mean, Didak will be accused for the Kennedy shooting next.

ALISON CALDWELL: An angry Eddie McGuire conceded he may have been too lenient on Collingwood players in the past. Here's how he described the unidentified friend who was with Shaw at the time.

EDDIE MCGUIRE: A so-called friend who let his mate, who was a high profile AFL footballer get into a car drunk. You know, there comes a time in your life when you've got to get rid of scaly mates let me tell you.

ALISON CALDWELL: Alan Didak recently signed a new contract with Collingwood but it's understood the club removed the strict behavioural clauses which were imposed after last year's incident.

Last night the Club conceded Didak was a passenger in the car with Shaw on Sunday night and said the sanctions imposed on Shaw would be reviewed. Speaking to ABC Local Radio this morning Collingwood CEO Gary Pert said the club was built on trust.

    The Dane Swan Incident

In 2003, Swan was charged following a brawl at Federation Square, in which a 'cleaner' was knocked unconscious. The bashing was so brutal the it left the victim with "permanent brain damage". He was charged with 13 offences, including assault, affray and intentionally causing serious injury. Swan was convicted of affray, ordered to perform community service and to pay $100,000 to the victim. In an interview, Swan thought that he was going to be sacked, but the coach gave him one last opportunity.

Even Swan thought he was going to be sacked!!!!!! Collingwood is a shameful club of spoilt, bullying, drunkards that rewards lawless behaviour with the king of spin, speaking on their behalf and the club provides the best legal representatives to make sure that they get away with it

You make it sound like Didak was the one pulling the trigger or something. All he did was accept a lift home from a random fan who ended up being a nutjob. Clearly poor judgement, but nothing more.

As for the other incident you mentioned, they WERE disciplined. They were suspended for the rest of the year!

Not really sure if those two incidents plus another Swan hitting a security guard as part of a brawl seven years ago really justifies you calling Collingwood an overall shameful club. They're football players, for christ sake. Try naming a single football club that doesn't have indiscretions from time to time.

Let's be clear on this. Two weeks before Didak's regular drinking mate from Spearmint Rhino, murdered a young father of three at 8am, after one of those drinking sessions. He and Didak were on their way to HA headquarters in melbournes' north, and both discharged rounds of ammunition crossing the Bolte Bridge, and again in Campbellfield, before going on to HQ for the Hells Angels.

While Didak did pull the trigger of the gun that killed two innocent good men, he did so two weeks earlier, with his criminally insane mate. Hudson proven to have an IQ in the lowest percentile, it can be argued was influenced in some way by his association with Didak. Didak's association with a simpleton like Hudson may have given legitimacy to his own delusional behaviour.

The point remains regardless of whether Didak's association did have any influence on that fatal morning, but that Collingwood did little. Not only did they renew his contract after removing the strict behavioural clauses, but they did not sack him six months later when he was found to be the other drunk driver in the car.

Winning at all costs, is the same as the end justifies the means. Swan would likely still be incarcerated if his victim had not agreed to the lesser charge, after the $100K gift. Who do you think paid for that gift?

Fuck Collingwood! Fuck their arrogance and fuck their standards as a club.

Well half of that is just blatantly untrue and the other half is irrational paranoia, so I'm not even going to waste my breath.

Before you read the following factual account. Do you remember Didak bashing his girlfriend, and then explaining it to the media saying" I'm intimidated by her, she plays gridiron you know" Fuck what a dumb cunt!

    The facts:
It transpired that very late on the Saturday of the Queen's Birthday weekend, Alan Didak, Colin Sylvia and Chris Hudson were drinking together in a number of nightspots in Melbourne, including the strip club Spearmint Rhino. While Sylvia had passed out drunk, Didak accepted a lift home from Hudson and another man at around 4am. This car trip involved firing shots from a handgun out the window of the Mercedes-Benz coupe while crossing Bolte Bridge, a visit to the Hell's Angel's HQ at Campbelltown and more shots fired when police attempted to pull the car over. Didak was dropped off in the city at 6am, where he took a cab home to Kew.

Some two weeks later, Hudson was again at Spearmint Rhino in the early hours. There, he allegedly severely beat a stripper, Autumn Daly-Holt. Minutes later, Hudson was apparently attacking another stripper, Kara Douglas in downtown Melbourne at 8am when bystanders intervened. Solicitor Brendan Keilar and Dutch backpacker Paul de Waard were allegedly shot by Hudson, along with Douglas. While Douglas and de Waard have recovered, sadly Keilar died at the scene. After remaining at large for some days, Hudson turned himself in and is now facing several charges relating to firearms and, of course, murder.

While the events were separated by a week, there is enough commonality in the locations and people involved that Didak is regarded as a witness by the police - albeit one with a terrible memory. From all accounts, Didak did not disclose what had happened, leaving some to argue that had Didak come forwards about Hudson and the gunplay that night, the murder and other violence could have been avoided. Others argue that Didak cannot be expected to anticipate criminality in others - even if they are firing handguns in the city.

However, the real issue is what Didak and Syliva were doing drinking in a strip joint with a motorcycle gang member. The nature of their relationship is unclear but may go back months.
